Here are some of the new technologies that are on display today at the kickoff event at Aircraft Operations Center in Lakeland, Florida. Media gathered on June 27 at the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center to tour Hurricane Hunter aircraft and learn about uncrewed systems used for hurricane research. The model was jointly developed, tested, and evaluated by NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory, NOAA National Weather Service’s National Centers for Environmental Prediction, and NOAA’s Cooperative Institute for Marine & Atmospheric Studies and the University of Miami. HAFS, NOAA’s next-generation hurricane model, aims to provide reliable forecast guidance on tropical cyclone track, intensity, and structure to NOAA’s National Hurricane Center. NOAA’s newest hurricane model will go into operation this season, the Hurricane Analysis and Forecast System. Data collected by NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft using existing observational tools, such as tail doppler radar and dropsondes, has already significantly advanced NOAA forecast models. The goal of developing new systems is that the data collected can improve the representation of the ocean and atmosphere in hurricane forecast models. Predicting these changes in hurricanes enables communities to better prepare, which can protect lives and property and strengthen local economies. Together with NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft carrying sensors, this data paints a clearer picture for scientists of the forces that drive hurricanes. Uncrewed systems and other tools are gathering data at different levels of the ocean and the atmosphere that are key to understanding how storms form, build, and intensify.

The ROI is not great on them but what I was doing in FL was filling my 220 net to 219 or so with LM bass and then going to get a giant tarpon to overfill my net. I think there was a patch in there somewhere. The last few that I caught were definitely more acrobatic than when I started catching them. You can catch them in the open channel too.

Not worth fishing for except for a tick list, but they are there. They also fight like a carp whereas they are known for their aerobatics IRL.īut, they are on the PS4. Theae are aggresive fish that should be hitting lures and scaring anglers, instead they're only 150 feet+ out and give a very poor return on your investment. They aren't worth anything and require time and patience. I have to be honest, I see a wasted opportunity.
